Host South Africa won the toss and opted to bat first against Bangladesh in the third and final match of the three-match ODI series at Buffalo Park in East London of South Africa.

Mehedi Hasan Miraz and Soumya Sarkar came in for Bangladesh, replacing injured Tamim Iqbal and Nasir Hossain in the match.

This game is a big challenge for the visiting side to avoid the whitewash when Mashrafe Bin Mortaza is leading the Tigers in 50th ODI matches.

Temba Bavuma, Aiden Markram and Wiaan Mulder are in for South Africa, replacing Hashim Amla, Duminy and Dwaine Pretorius.

The match began at 2:00pm Bangladesh time.

The Tigers will face an uphill task when they take the ground for the last match without their opener Tamim Iqbal who was ruled out due to injury and replaced by Mominul Haque.

Tamim was ruled out of the rest of Bangladesh’s tour to South Africa after suffering an irritating injury on his left thigh muscle for the second time in two weeks.

He is expected to return home on October 22 and is set to miss at least the first two weeks of the Bangladesh Premier League, which is scheduled to start on November 4.

Bangladesh conceded a 104-run defeat in the 2nd game at Boland Park in Paarl following a humiliating 10-wicket loss in the 1st ODI at Diamond Oval in Kimberley what gave the hosts to dominate the series 2-0.
